This Privacy Policy explains how Pixelminar Technologies ("we", "us", "our") handles information in the Azan & Deen app (the "app") for Android and iOS. By using the app you agree to this policy.
In short: prayer times, reminders, Roza, calendar, Qibla and Tasbih work without an account, and their data stays on your phone. An account (Sign in with Google) is needed only for Imam Connect and online classes. The free version shows family-friendly ads from Google AdMob; a subscription removes them.
1. Information that stays on your phone

2. Imam Connect and online classes (account needed)
Imam Connect lets you find approved Imams and request a consultation or Quran tuition, with classes held on Google Meet. To use it you sign in with Google, and we receive your name and email address from Google.
If you request a consultation or classes
We store your request: your name, email, message, preferred time, the student's age (for tuition), and booking details (days, time slot, start date, number of months, fee, currency and how you plan to pay). Only the Imam you chose and our team can see it.
When you confirm a booking, a class schedule is created straight away with both of your names, the class days, time and dates, and a Google Meet link. We create the Meet link with our own Google account; your details are not sent to Google for this. When you join a class, Google Meet's own privacy policy applies. We do not record classes.
Google user data
From Sign in with Google we receive only your name and email address, and use them only to run your Imam Connect account. Azan & Deen's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data, use it for ads, or share it except as described in this policy.
If you apply as an Imam
We store the details you enter: full name, mobile number, address, email, city, country, languages, years of experience, qualification, maslak, fiqh, gender, a short description, fees, available days and times, your photo and a recording of you reciting a Surah.
- The photo's background is made white on your phone (Google ML Kit, on-device). The original photo is not uploaded.
- The app asks for the microphone only while you record your recitation.
- After our team approves you, signed-in users can see your name, photo, city, country, languages, experience, qualification, description, fees and availability, and can listen to your recitation. Your mobile number, address and email are never shown to users; only our team can see them.
Reports
If you report an Imam or a request, we store your email, your role, the reason and any details you add, so our team can review it.
Payments for classes
Fees for consultations and classes are paid directly between you and the Imam. The app does not process these payments and we never receive your payment details.
3. Islamic Learning content
Stories, audio, videos and books are streamed from our server when you open them. If you ask for content in another language, we receive only the language, which item it was for (if any) and your phone platform (Android or iOS). This contains no personal details.
4. Ads
The app is free. After the first 3 days it shows ads from Google AdMob, limited to family-friendly (G-rated) ads. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and approximate location to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU and UK), you are asked for consent first. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings under Google › Ads. See how Google uses data from ads.
5. Notifications
Prayer, Jamaat, Roza and other reminders are scheduled on your phone and need no internet. Announcements and new-content alerts are delivered by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Your phone subscribes to topics for your app language and fiqh so you get messages in your language; Firebase uses a device token for this. We do not link the token to your name or email.
6. Subscriptions
You can subscribe monthly or yearly through Google Play to remove ads. Google Play handles all payments; we never see your card or payment details. We only learn from Google Play whether your subscription is active. You can cancel at any time in Google Play › Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions.
7. Service providers
We use these providers to run the app. Each handles data under its own privacy policy:
- Supabase: database and file storage for Imam Connect, classes, learning content and language requests.
- Google: Sign in with Google, Firebase Cloud Messaging, AdMob, Google Play Billing, Google Meet, and ML Kit (on-device).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except when required by law.
8. Permissions
- Location (approximate): only when you tap Use GPS. You can choose your city instead.
- Notifications, Alarms & reminders and Run at startup: to ring Azan and other reminders on time, even after a restart.
- Ignore battery optimisation (optional): so your phone does not delay reminders.
- Microphone: only while an Imam records a recitation.
- Photos / camera: only when an Imam picks a profile photo, through your phone's own picker.
- Internet: for learning content, Imam Connect, ads and announcements.
9. Deleting your data
- Imam Connect account: in the app open the Imam tab › account icon › Delete my account, or email us from the Google account you used. We delete your account, Imam profile, photo, recitation, requests and class schedules within 30 days.
- Data on your phone: clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Tasbih records can also be removed with Clear my record.

10. Security
All data sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to stored data is restricted with database access rules so users can see only what is meant for them. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
11. Children
The learning content is made for parents to share with their children. Imam Connect accounts are meant to be used by adults; tuition for a child should be requested by a parent or guardian, who may enter the student's age. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
